Hello and welcome!!

My name is Amber Kuehler and I am a fourth grade teacher in West Des Moines, Iowa. I have been blogging since 2008 and I have bee a reader and writer almost my entire life. From the time I could pick up a pencil (or crayon or pen or marker...) I have been writing and from the time I could pick up a book, I have been reading.

One of my ultimate goals in the classroom is to ignite the love of reading in my students. I am 100% confident I can convince any student that they love to read if they are shown the right book.

I read a little bit of everything and I buy a lot of kid lit. I am a frequent abuser user of the library and always have more books than I can possibly read checked out. I love doing book talks in my classroom and try to do them daily. Talking about books with kids is one of my favorite things to do ever. Seeing their excitement over a book that I suggested is so rewarding!

I have been blogging at a lifestyle blog since 2008 and have been thinking about a book blog for several years now. After attending Nerd Camp 2016 in July I decided it was time to stop thinking about it and start doing it. I am so glad you are here!
